ABOUT
Pamela Boddy is a sustainable textile designer who specialises in handspun yarns, naturally dyed and handwoven in her studio. Working from a 3 acre smallholding in the beautiful countryside of West Wales, nestled on the edge of the Brechfa Forest, Pamela is passionate about the environment and strives for a self sufficient lifestyle. The fibres and colour come from the livestock and crops on the farm, processed by hand within the farm itself. It is a gentle, slow alternative to the fast paced, generic, commercial fashion industry. There are exciting opportunities to create bespoke fibres, yarns and colour throughout each process, which in turn offer bespoke cloth and garments. They offer a very sensual, sensory experience in tune with nature. Fully biodegrable and environmentally sensitive that have provenance and a story to tell. Pamela loves to share her knowledge and environment, teaching workshops throughout the year. The Textile Farm has been established over the last decade, gaining valuable skills, knowledge and qualifications to offer a bespoke service tailored to nature and her guests.
